This site has had several incarnations, a few names, and a little bit of chaos. This is a brief history:
- Veridis Fillia at Greyapril.com, personal site with writing, drawings, and my blog.
- Greenpencils.com, my very own website. It was still mostly a personal site. Closed after the webmaster continued to be an enormous asshole.
- Veridis Filia, spelled correctly this time! Kindly hosted by hojo.org. Had content briefly, then I deleted all of it.
- The Mint Cynic! The site is reborn, with a layout and everything. Rah-rah. No more bad latin title. This one's pretty self explanatory.
This is a simple layout featuring the heroine of the manga
Le Chevalier D'Eon dispatching one of her
gargoyle nemesis. for more info on Le Chevalier D'Eon, look up the manga in stores (translated by Del Ray)
or check out the considerably more realistic anime of the same name. The manga resembles Hellsing whereas
the anime is similar to Gankutsuou in style and tone.
The header was done from a full page scan of the series that was taken from the
Strays scanslations. If you want to read the first 3 chapters, they've
got them up on their site, very nice quality. I only cleaned up the image and put a filter over it to make
the header. Like I said, simple! The background is the fleur-de-lils, a traditional French symbol mentioned
in the manga several times.
